Obol Stack + OpenClaw = ObolClaw: Helping Agents Secure and Power Ethereum
The Obol Stack has integrated OpenClaw. Ethereum users can now run OpenClaw agents locally, deploy infrastructure and leverage their agent’s skills to complete tasks onchain.
ObolClaw is a framework that lets users leverage OpenClaw agents to deploy Ethereum infrastructure and execute onchain actions. ObolClaw agents have access to a reliable Ethereum RPC and infrastructure from day one.
Introducing ObolClaw
AI agents are rapidly transforming the onchain landscape. As agents become more autonomous and integrated, Ethereum is emerging as the trust layer for the agent economy.
OpenClaw is the latest big unlock in AI. OpenClaw lets humans leverage agents to complete actions in Web2 through messenger apps like Telegram. Launched in early February, the service quickly went viral.
Those sitting at this new frontier are watching OpenClaw revolutionize how online work gets done. Currently, OpenClaw agents have to deploy their work to SaaS products or cloud provider accounts. But what if they could securely leverage the resources of the computer they are running on?
This question was front of mind for us given our plans for the Obol Stack. We are building a framework for Ethereum users to run applications and infrastructure locally with agents. The vision is to power the Ethereum economy and maintain the network’s decentralization.
To that end, we’ve added native support for OpenClaw agents in the Obol Stack.
The Obol Stack gives OpenClaw agents the skills to run all kinds of software. ObolClaw agents also come pre-loaded with an Ethereum RPC hosted by DV Labs, local wallet infrastructure, the ability to expose services to the public web, and the skill to register on Ethereum as an agent with free or paid APIs. Soon, ObolClaw will package additional agent skills, allowing agents to get the most out of the Obol Stack and Ethereum.
OpenClaw is a nascent innovation in a fast-moving space. Similarly, ObolClaw is in its very early stages. But this is the right time to build in public open-source. We believe that the onchain landscape is entering a transformative phase and agents are about to change the way we use Ethereum. The Obol Stack is built to serve the ecosystem’s first wave of AI agent pioneers.
How the Obol Stack Empowers Agents to Use Ethereum
The Obol Stack will holistically connect AI agents to Ethereum and decentralized services. The DV Labs-operated Ethereum RPC offers a reliable way for agents to interact with the blockchain without an API key or wallet balance. As the Obol Stack is built on Kubernetes, agents can leverage it to deploy any kind of workload they need to achieve their aims. We can imagine agents spinning up local RPCs for improved performance, L2s, and offchain applications with far less effort than would be required today.
These powers will be expressed through skills. Skills teach an agent how to take actions like reading onchain data, sending transactions, and building local mini applications. Soon, these skills will encompass all kinds of onchain interactions (think executing complex trades, moving assets, and more) as ObolClaw evolves. While the agent economy is young, Ethereum is better-optimized for agents than humans. As Dragonfly’s Haseeb Qureshi recently noted, “crypto was made for machines.” This is why we believe that skills could gain pace fast.
It’s also worth noting that OpenClaw is only the first framework of its kind. Every major AI company is likely to release similar frameworks in the future (or hire their creators). The Obol Stack’s support for agents is flexible. It will support new frameworks as they launch.
As the foundation for Ethereum’s agent economy, the Obol Stack unlocks these features for ObolClaw agents. We see this as our next step on our mission to power and secure the Ethereum economy.
How to Get Started
ObolClaw aims to remove the friction associated with running Ethereum infrastructure and getting things done onchain. Obol Stack’s OpenClaw release is already live in alpha. Existing OpenClaw users will be prompted to import their existing agent on first run.

bash <(curl -s https://stack.obol.orgThe agent economy is moving at high speed and Ethereum is likely to look different six months from now as more agents move onchain. ObolClaw is here to support the network and guide Ethereum’s earliest AI adopters through this transformation.
