Stakely Upgrades to Distributed Validators in Lido Curated Module
After Lido expanded support for Distributed Validators in the Curated Module, Stakely has integrated Obol’s technology to secure its staked ETH.
Lido has always been one of the staking ecosystem’s biggest innovators and the liquid staking pioneer recently took a leap forward for the space when it expanded support for Obol in its Curated Module. Until recently, a small subset of Lido operators had access to Obol Distributed Validators. But this move will allow major node operators within the Curated Module set to benefit from our industry-leading infrastructure.
The first one to do so is Stakely, the institutional-grade node operator focused on providing reliable staking solutions across Ethereum and multiple other L1 chains. Stakely is initially distributing 32,000 ETH on Obol Distributed Validators. With this update, the leading operator will benefit from staking with the most resilient, highest-performing validators on Ethereum.
Stakely Joins Curated Module Migration Program
Though many major players including leading liquid staking protocols like Lido, ether.fi, and Liquid Collective and professional node operators like Bitcoin Suisse and Blockdaemon rely on Obol DVs to secure their staked ETH today, Stakely is the first one to integrate Obol through our Curated Module Migration Program. Discussing how Obol’s infrastructure will help harden Stakely’s staking operations, Stakely Co-founder and Head of Node Operations Paco Ducha said:
“At Stakely, we already operate with a multi-layered security approach, including client diversity, geographic distribution, and multiple infrastructure providers. Integrating Obol’s isolated cluster architecture adds another layer of fault tolerance and resilience, without sacrificing operational control. It’s a natural extension of the standards we apply across all networks we validate.”
We launched the Curated Module Migration Program to onboard a new wave of node operators after Lido proposed adding DV support to its Curated Module (Lido previously only supported DVs through the much smaller Simple DVT Module and Lido CSM). The bulk of Lido’s TVL sits in the Curated Module today and we look forward to seeing many operators join Stakely. We believe this will result in the majority of Lido stake ending up on Distributed Validators, bringing us closer to the end game of Ethereum staking.
It’s worth reflecting on why Lido has expanded support at this moment and the rapid growth in DV adoption among major operators. From creating the first liquid staking offering in Ethereum’s early era to the upcoming modular V3 upgrade, Lido has always been innovating at the staking ecosystem’s bleeding edge. The expanded support for Obol DVs is a signal that Lido shares our view: legacy validator technology is outdated and it’s time for an update.
DVs offer validators improved performance, higher rewards, and enhanced security. Stakely is the first big player to show its belief in our infrastructure through the Curated Module Migration Program and we look forward to welcoming many more in the future. Eventually, most staked ETH will live on DVs. The end game of ETH staking is coming and Obol will play a starring role in the story.
